What to invest in if you have zero money, and unemployed

For students and young adults

Good morning 😃☀️🌞

I really like to repeat this lesson to everyone and I believe it’s true, when you don’t have anything to invest with (money) the best thing you can do is invest in a skill.

Even though this newsletter is about investment in the economy and stock markets, honestly what will you invest with if you have zero money to begin with?

It will be that your priorities are not right, if you want to focus on passive income if you have no income in the first place. All of us want money and want to be rich, saying you don’t is just plain lying.

But if you’re a student or young person between 18 and 38 you really want to have money. More especially if you’re in your 20’s but life isn’t always balanced because money isn’t always coming like you want.

So if you’re unemployed and have no money, whether you’re a student, graduate or never went to high education level you need to have a skill. That’s why we go to university and college to gain skills and experience needed in the real world.

When I started making videos I didn’t even apply to a job, I spent a year learning how to make a video go viral on social media, 5 months later, I got to work with a young lady called Gofaone Modise making short form videos for her. But she wasn’t paying me I was doing it for free and learning also on how to repurpose content until making videos for her connected me with Mr Mogobe of Mogobe nuggets of wisdom.

When I made a video for him, I didn’t even send a C.V , it was of the land activist Mr Gilbert Sesinyi when he said he took someone’s property value from P20 million to P200 million. He loved that video and it went viral.

Right now after fixing my computer I will be adding more skills such as motion graphics and animation on adobe After Effects and that software is the hardest software I ever used and takes time to master it.

But also I am investing in social media content marketing skills. Last month I bought a sales funnel strategy and as part of my efforts to grow this newsletter I am planning on creating a lead magnet with landing pages for that. Later this year I will consider a website for this newsletter, and hire someone to build it on my behalf.

If you have absolutely nothing to buy courses with, you can learn from YouTube tutorials, learn how to:

-Edit videos

-Photography

-Do makeup

-Nail techniques

-Bake cakes and muffins

-Create content

-Digital marketing

-Sales

-Sow clothes

Some skills will take longer than others to master and produce income. Honestly in your 20’s most of your time should be spent on learning skills and earning while not living for the moment because you don’t want to be old in your 40’s and above struggling and never having built anything in your life for you because you spent it all in your youth.
