Good morning!
I’m thinking of big moves this year, really big moves, and writing them down. I don’t want to get carried away and reveal what I’m planning to do. I will only talk once I’m taking action, but besides that, let’s get into it!
GABORONE – O-Green, the energy firm behind the newly launched 500MW solar plant in Maun, has officialized a comprehensive sponsorship for the upcoming Debswana World Athletics Relays Gaborone 26. Facilitated through a partnership with the Aga Isago Foundation and endorsed by President Duma Boko, the deal aims to leave a permanent footprint on Botswana’s sporting landscape.
The package goes beyond traditional branding, offering direct support to elite athletes and grassroots development. Key highlights include:
Performance Tech: Garmin smartwatches for standout athletes and full Puma kits for Team Botswana.
Financial Stability: One-year sponsorships for the nation's top three finishers to support their professional training.
Sustainability: Installation of locally manufactured solar-powered facilities at the event venues.
Legacy: A dedicated fund to revive school sports, ensuring the event inspires the next generation of local sprinters.
Minister of Sport and Arts, Jacob Kelebeng, welcomed the move, noting that the partnership reinforces Botswana’s capability to host world-class events while integrating sustainable, green energy solutions.
