Gold is on a roll, it gained ~P16 just this month!

Hey there, I have a regret number two here.

Remember some days ago, when I said I regret selling my fnbb shares early? Now I have another regret not buying gold etf NewGold in April when I had the free money, it was still fluctuating around P294~P303.

I was hesitant to buy it and didn’t want to pay for all of that so I bought a cheaper etf NewPlat at around P300 but I had P500 it wasn’t that I had other plans for the money, just my scarcity mind kicking in that wanted to preserve cash. But cash loses its value over-time, I shouldn’t have done that, now I don’t recall what I did with that P200.

So now NewGold has gone up to P320, just last month it was around P304. I really missed out, but not all hope is lost, I’m still optimistic that in the future it will be P1000+ so next time when I get the money to invest I will put cash in it!

Why did it go up?

Gold has gone up for 3 reasons;

1. Investors want to capitalise on future growth so they’re buying

2. Investors want protection against economic uncertainities

3. Gold’s other benefit: easy to liquidate, no counterparty risk, it’s intrinsic value
