Monty the founder of Grey X Group mentions on a podcast speaking with the host who is actually his father, Oabona Kgengwenyane, talked about how his company Grey Ed had received a lucrative offer of about 4.1 million pounds or $5.3 million from a company in the UK.
But he turned it down because the vision they had for Grey Ed was different from the one he had for the company, they said he developed something they long wanted to make, they would buy it and pluck it on what they had which was bigger.
But that would change the vision of Grey Ed, but he felt he has a responsibility to his customers who he decided to serve, which he gave his word. So that is why he decided to reject the offer.
So What does Grey Ed do exactly?
It learns everything about a child; hobbies, interests, disabilities, preferred learning, curriculum [IGCSE, BGCSE, A- Levels etc]
Using it for studying, [$10 for students~P150)
Cuts down teachers work (class planning, scheduling etc) by 90%, teachers spend more time on admin work than teaching.
Trained on the curriculum and automates everything, personalized lessons planning, can make lesson plans for students with learning disabilities and marking students work according to the curriculum, freeing up to 7 hours/ week worth of time so that teachers focus on teaching.
